How To Build A Stress Resistant Personality
Client: Dallas County Community College District
Letter
to Cindy from Panelist
You
were so important to the process, and I just appreciate you very
much. You are the caliber of professional that I always hope to
work with (but it doesn't always work out that way!). It was so
important to me that you are both patient and cheerful, willing
to work hard, put in long hours, take time for every detail, and
you kept encouraging all of us. Your knack for casting is a real
treasure, too. I don't now how you do it, but don't change a thing!
Your success is assured, and I will say 'I knew her when...'
Thanks for the opportunity of working on the project. Call on
me anytime.
Warmly,
Steve Wilson

Documentary Receives Two National Awards
Dallas,
TX - The one-hour documentary The Solar Challenge, co-produced
by WPI Productions Inc. and David Seay Productions, was recently
honored with an Apple Award sponsored by the National Education
Media Network. Director of Photography and Co-Producer, Bruce
Warner was also honored with a National Videographer Award
of Distinction for the quality, beauty & composition of
the footage, shot on location throughout cities and towns from
Dallas to San Antonio, Texas.
The
production crew followed six different teams of high school students
who designed, built and raced their solar powered vehicles. Documenting
six different teams, all traveling at different speeds, or not
traveling at all, was extremely challenging said David Seay.
When teams stopped at designated check points we grabbed
sound bites and comments from the students, but once they hit
the road the real fun began. Racing through the hill country of
south Texas we struggled with first finding one of the teams then
trying to decided how to shoot quality visuals of a moving vehicle,
often on two lane roads, commented Co-Producer Cindy DePierri.
Director
of Photography, Bruce Warner explains that the safest approach
for the crew and foremost safety for the students was to race
ahead, quickly, scout a good vantage point and wait. We
were lucky to have some stretches of road where were could shoot
a side by side view of the car and this made for some of the most
compelling visuals. The producers are currently in negotiation
for distribution of The Solar Challenge.

Since
I too am at times very anal, I felt that I should
write and thank you for your patience and efforts in [helping]
get a rebel into reasonably good shape for the recent satellite
broadcast. I haven't yet reviewed the tape, but I did get a sense
during the broadcast that things were coming together quite nicely
and obviously that is due in no small part to the efforts of you,
Charles and the others. I certainly enjoyed myself and learned
a lot from the whole experience and your efforts. I particularly
wanted to congratulate you on running a very friendly and helpful
crew, and a group that seemed to be ego free and anxious to help
as much as possible to ensure the success of the broadcast. Although
the people probably came from various and sundry separate companies,
they were certainly functioning as a team from the very beginning.
I
hope that I have a chance to work with you in the future and I
will certainly be thinking of you as I see the Cannes Film Festival
next year.
With
best wishes,
Yours
sincerely,

Thank
you for making the video shoot in New Orleans successful and enjoyable.
As New Orleans was the fifth city on our world wind shooting in
the U.S., it was so pleasurable to work with someone so organized
and professional to ensure everything went smoothly. We all enjoyed
working with you and I hope we have another opportunity very soon.
Thanks
again,
Hisashi Takahashi
