Bruce Warner
Producer
Director of Photography

One of two managing partners of WPI Productions, Inc. since its inception in 1990, Bruce Warner has had an accomplished television production background. After graduating from North Texas State University's Film and Television school in 1977, Bruce worked for TV stations in Wichita Falls and Dallas, Texas before joining a nationwide cable network as Producer and Director of Photography. Bruce created, shot, and served as Executive Producer for the weekly travel show Voyager. Over 80 destinational segments were produced, four of which were recognized with National Telly Awards.

Working as an independent television and video producer for the past eleven years, Bruce has co-produced, along with partner Cindy DePierri, many series of Public Service, Educational and Entertainment programming as well as, VNR's, Travelogues, News Stories and Specialty Programs with various celebrities.

Bruce was both Director of Photography and Co-producer for the production of a television documentary titled The Solar Challenge, winner of a 2000 Telly Award, a National Videographer Award and a National Educational Media Network Apple Award. Another WPI television program titled Cruise Week received a WorldFest-Houston International Film Festival Award.

Bruce has served as Director of Photography for such broadcast clients as The Discovery Channel, The Discovery Channel Canada, BRAVO the Film & Arts Network, The Independent Film Channel, ESPN, Harpo Productions/ The Oprah Winfrey Show, Speedvision Cable Network, Madison Square Garden Television, Nostalgia Television, and selected PBS and network stations throughout the country. Some of Bruce’s International clients include Television Renaissance and Screenlife of Canada, where he was Director of Photography for both local Canadian networks and the Discovery Channel Canada. He was Director of a Japanese crew for the 3-week production of a series of educational video textbooks, produced for Shogakukan Production, LTD of Japan, parent company of Pokemon.

As Director of Photography and Co-Producer of the half-hour broadcast program, Bravo ArtsBreak Houston, produced through Bravo the Film & Arts Network, Bruce was honored with a National Videographer “Award of Excellence”. Other productions include corporate image & training and promotional videos for local, national and international clients. Three corporate productions recently received Telly Awards, Aegis Awards and National Videographer Awards.

Bruce was Director of Photography for The Independent Film Channel during the 1998, 1999, 2000 & 2001 International Cannes Film Festival in Cannes, France where he shot short features and interviews with actors, directors, and celebrities throughout the festival.
